Dark Mode, nazývaný také tmavý režim je v poslední době velmi oblíbený. Usnadňuje totiž používání zařízení zejména v noci. Dark Mode na mobilních zařízeních od Applu přišel spoklu s iOS 13. Na to zareagoval například Twitter, Instagram a další aplikace. Zatím kromě Facebooku.
Facebook již dlouho pracuje na Dark Mode pro mobilní aplikace. V současné době existuje bera verze Facebooku pro Android s podporou tmavého režimu. Dark Mode pro Facebooku však nebude zcela tmavým režimem. Černou barvu totiž nahradí tmavě šedá. Nebude mít proto žádný pozitivní vliv na výdrž baterie OLED smartphonů i iPhonů, za což bzde pravděpodobně mnohými uživateli kritizován. Jednou z hlavních výhod režimu Dark Mode je úspora baterie ve smartphonech. Uživatele naopak ocení obšírné nastavení tmavého režimu. Kromě možnosti trvalé aktivace nebo deaktivace nechybí ani možnost kopírování nastavení vzhledu telefonu. To znamená, že při přepnutí světlého režimu iPhonu do tmavého se automaticky přepne vzhled Facebooku a naopak. Stejně jako v prohlížeči půjde Dark Mode nahodit novým přepínačem. S vysokou pravděpodobností se při spuštění dočkáme nějaké uvítací zprávy a možnosti výběru, zda chceme vstoupit do tmavého režimu či nikoli. Přesný termín, kdy se Dark Mode objeví v aplikaci pro Facebook, není zatím znám. Jisté je, že nebudeme čekat dlouho.
